Tomorrow, After Christmas
by Karin DeLaurentis
Geoff and Annabeth Wolfe have decided to spend what they hope will be an idyllic Christmas at their newly-acquired and renovated cabin in the Hocking region of southern Ohio. With no children of her own, Annabeth has invited her somewhat estranged sister Jobeth and her two daughters to join them, to try to create the kind of family holiday she's always dreamed of. But with Christmas Eve upon them, Annabeth has heard nothing from Jo, and tries to accept that she may never have the relationship she wants with Jo and her children.
Then, on Christmas Eve morning, Jo’s two daughters, seventeen-year-old Cat and five-year-old Sunny, appear on the cabin's doorstep in unexpected and distressing fashion. Annabeth struggles to make her nieces feel safe and welcome; Sunny is just a confused child, but it's obvious that something troubling and perhaps dangerous is making Cat angry and withdrawn. As Annabeth works to unlock the key to Cat's broken heart, she must also learn to confront her own feelings for her wayward sister, falling back on faith and prayer as her guide.
All the while, someone else is watching the cabin--watching Cat--someone who will eventually draw them all into a terrifying and emotional climax that none of them could have predicted.
