The Home Grown Banjo Book is 71 pages of Bluegrass Inspired Fun. Sprouted from Gary Puckett’s years of cultivating the joy of banjo in his students, the project has grown to be a mixed media collection of wonderful banjo tab, accompanying chord progressions, drawings, paintings, tune origin stories and even a few recipes for community gatherings. Beautifully illustrated, easy to use with quality heavy weight stock and sturdy spiral binding, this solo tab book will become a much loved addition to any banjo player’s library.  Centered around traditional tunes played at Gary’s popular “Turtle Jam Classes” , the book offers beginner, intermediate and a few truly challenging solos for the banjo jammer.
 
The  Home Grown Banjo Book features the pavilion and garden of Guitar House Workshop in Columbus, Ohio, where Gary teaches. More than just a source of great tab, the Home Grown Banjo Book is an invitation to join the tradition of making music in community. This eclectic collaboration was funded in part by the Greater Columbus Arts Council though its individual artist grant program.
